The Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> declined their $5.16 million team option on forward Jake LaRavia for the 2025-26 season. This is part of the four-year, $14.76 million rookie-scale contract he signed in July 2022.<\/p>\n

LaRavia, the 19th pick of the 2022 NBA draft out of Wake Forest<\/a>, will become an unrestricted free agent after this season. Memphis is striving to maintain roster flexibility since 12 players are already under contract for 2025-26.<\/p>\n

However, the Grizzlies are reportedly interested in re-signing LaRavia beyond this season. Overall, Memphis is pleased with LaRavia’s development, according to Drew Hill of the Daily Memphian<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Through 75 career NBA regular-season games (six starts), LaRavia is averaging 6.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 17.9 minutes per contest while shooting 39.3% from the floor, 33.5% from 3-point range, and 78% at the free throw line.<\/p>\n
