The Over Under sports bar<\/a> in Washington, D.C. has suspended sports betting<\/a> after a year, according to an email that was sent to popville.com. Over Under also features dazzling LED lights, a rooftop atmosphere, and its located just above Cloakroom in the District.<\/p>\n In an email to PoPville, the sports bar wrote:<\/p>\n “Dear PoPville, the Over Under sports bar on K and 5th NW has suspended sports betting after a year. Not a very crowded bar of late. It always has been a poorly run sports bar. Wouldn\u2019t be surprised if it goes under or rebrands. I\u2019ve included the web page and a picture of the betting machines with tarps over them.”<\/p>\n Under the “Sports Betting” tab on Over Under’s website, the sports bar posted:<\/p>\n “Attention: No new bets can be placed until further notice. Winning bets may be cashed on location after 8 p.m. Thank you.”<\/p>\n Bettors must be at least 18 years old to participate in sports betting in D.C. and need to be physically present within the city’s boundaries to place their bets.<\/p>\n However, bettors at the sports bar are required to be at least 21 years old.<\/p>\n Over Under had offered betting kiosks and live ticket writers. In fact, gamblers were able to place their bets at the kiosks or with the ticket writer using cash, and cash out their winning bets with the ticket writer.<\/p>\nOver Under did not disclose why its suspending sports betting<\/h2>\n
