Last year, Stephen Curry became the first NBA<\/a> player to earn $50 million in a single season. There are a handful of players that will join him this season, though, as there are now five guys around the league that will be making north of the $50 million figure, and even more that are less than $1 million away.<\/p>\n

Who are the highest paid players in the NBA for the upcoming 2024-25 season? Here are the top-ten, based on their salary cap hit.<\/p>\n

10 Highest Paid NBA Players For The 2024-25 Season<\/h2>\n

1. Stephen Curry – $55.7 million<\/strong><\/p>\n

Curry signed a one-year extension during the off-season, but $62 million price tag won\u2019t kick in until 2027-28. But the $55.7 million that he is owed for the upcoming campaign is still the highest in the NBA, and has a sizeable $4.3 million gap between the next-highest paid deal. Curry was the highest paid player last season as well, the first time that anyone earned over $50 million for a single year.<\/p>\n

2. Joel Embiid – $51.4 million<\/strong><\/p>\n

Embiid enters the $50 million club this year, an increase in salary of nearly $4 million as compared to last season. But the real money for the 76ers\u2019 center lies down the road. The extension that he signed ties him to the team until the 2028-29 season, a year in which he has a player option that is worth a whopping $69 million.<\/p>\n
