Wolves Vs Liverpool Team News, Preview And Predicted Lineups As Reds Look To Pile More Misery On Hosts
We have the latest Wolves vs Liverpool team news, match preview and predicted lineups ahead of Saturday’s late kick-off at Molineux.
The hosts are one of six sides who are yet to record a win in the Premier League this season. Despite their poor start, the signs are there that Gary O’Neil’s side will start to fire on all cylinders.
In their last two top-flight games, Wolves have taken the lead against Newcastle and Aston Villa. Yet, they left empty-handed on both occasions. Scoring isn’t the issue, it’s the defence that needs to fix up, look sharp.
However, facing a Reds side who only have one blemish to their otherwise perfect start to life under Arne Slot will be a hugely daunting task.
Even more so as the Merseysiders hit West Ham for five during their Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday night. Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo helped themselves to braces with Mo Salah scoring the other.
Darwin Nunez got more valuable minutes under his belt but wasn’t able to follow up with another goal after his sublime finish against Bournemouth on gameweek 5.
The hosts lost 3-1 in the reverse fixture last year, but they did maul the Reds 3-0 on home soil in the 2022/23 season. Something of which will give them a slimmer of hope.

Wolves Team News
Wolves have a number of injury concerns ahead of the visit of title-chasing Liverpool. Star defender Yerson Mosquera is the latest player to be ruled out. In fact, the Colombian is set to miss the remainder of the campaign.
The quartet of Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez, Bastien Meupiyou and Boubacar Traore are all ruled out with knee injuries. However, Toti could return from his thigh problem to replace Mosquera in defence.
Santiago Bueno is also on standby if required. Other than that, Gary O’Neil has the rest of his squad available to him. Matheus Cunha is set to lead the line up top alongside Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Liverpool Team News
Arne Slot will need to make a decision on Alisson ahead of the trip to Molineux. The Brazilian shot-stopper has missed the last two games so Caoimhin Kelleher could keep his place in goal.
Harvey Elliot is the only long-term absentee for Liverpool as he recovers from a fractured foot. The main query Slot will be debating is who to start up top?
Darwin Nunez impressed against Bournemouth on gameweek 5 but failed to hit the back of the net against West Ham on Wednesday. If the Uruguayan misses out, Jota will likely take his spot.
