UFC 307 Prize Money

The anticipation is palpable for Alex Pereira vs Khalil Rountree as UFC 307 takes centre stage in Salt Lake City on October 6th (BST). The card is headlined by none other than then phenom Alex Pereira, as he aims to defend his UFC Light-Heavyweight Title for the second time against Khalil Rountree.

Around 20,000 UFC fans are expected to be packed into the rapturous Delta Center to witness this compelling main event in Utah. If you are lucky enough to be going to the event and  have already purchased your UFC 307 tickets, you are in for a truly remarkable night of MMA action.

The best UFC betting sites in the UK have priced Alex Pereira as the overriding betting favourite for the bout. Khalil Rountree is understandably the underdog here, with the majority of UFC fans expecting Pereira to finish the job relatively early on via knockout.

Looking at the UFC 307 prize money on offer, both Pereira and Rountree are expected to earn a fortune in the main event at the Delta Center. As far as exact figures are concerned, official purses won’t be revealed until after the fight.

UFC prize money differs event to event. For example, the prize money on offer at UFC 300 was far higher than other recent cards, given the magnitude of the event and the names Dana White had fighting on the bill.

For a card of the calibre of UFC 307, rest assured the total prize money will equate to well over $3 million all in. The majority of which will go solely to Alex Pereira.

Alex Pereira vs Khalil Rountree Fight Purses

Both men are expected to receive an individual fight purse, so depending on which man has their hand raised will determine how much the winner receives. This is due to there being several UFC bonuses up for grabs.

Looking at both fighters previous purses, it is evident that ‘Poatan’ will earn far more than the challenger. Alex Pereira’s net worth has massively increased over the past couple of years thanks to his lucrative purses. For his last fight against Jiri Prochazka in their rematch at UFC 303, Pereira reportedly pocketed upward of $3 million.

Before that, he earned $2.9m+ against Jamahal Hill at UFC 300, also earning seven figures for his rematch with Israel Adesanya and the first Prochazka fight.

On the opposite side of the octagon, Khalil Rountree’s biggest purse to date is said to be around the $147,000 mark. This is reportedly how much the American earned against Anthony Smith, which consisted of a $97,000 base salary and a $50,000 performance of the night bonus, according to NYFights.

Some other of his career-high purses came against the likes of Modesta Bukauskas ($100,000), Chris Daukas ($85,000) and Karl Robertson ($75,000), according to InsideSport and MMA Salaries respectively.

The challenger will undoubtedly earn far more than that in the UFC 307 main event against Alex Pereira, but an exact figure is currently unknown. Should he win the fight and become champion, rest assured his purse could be closer to the $1 million mark.

If we were to hazard a guess, regardless of the result, Khalil Rountree will earn around $250k as a minimum for his fight against the great ‘Poatan’. Similarly, Pereira will like earn at least $2.5m, judging by his most recent purses.
