The UCL matchday 2 results brought about a number of shocks and surprises across the continent on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

All 36 teams were in action across both evenings with all four Premier League sides registering important victories. However, Germany’s Borussia Dortmund lead the way after they made it two wins from two.

This season, the UEFA Champions League underwent a restructure meaning the top eight teams automatically qualify for the knockout stages.

Those finishing from 9th-24th will go head-to-head in a two-legged play-off to determine the remaining entries for the last-16 stage.

Teams finishing between 25th-36th are completely knocked out of all European competition for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
