The Trey fan account has been personally ‘thanked’ by Donald Trump for ‘liking’ a recent social media post from the former US President on X, formerly Twitter

A highly unusual allegiance came about in the early hours of October 3. Trey – who goes by the handle @UTDTrey – generated a reply which he re-posted to his 1.2 million followers.

Nonetheless, it appears many were duped as the original tweet from Trump could not be found on his official X account. Furthermore, even if it did exist it would be highly unusual for it to be deleted.

The 78-year-old is hoping to be re-elected back into the White House in November. The American politician and businessman remains confident of beating Kamala Harris once all of the votes are in.

However, many on X believe Trump may have just jinxed his chances (if the post was real). The Trey fan account has a chequered history of backing losers in the sporting world.

That very much includes his beloved Manchester United. The Red Devils are back in action on Thursday as they take on Portuguese side FC Porto in the UEFA Europa League.

Twitter Reactions To The Trey Fan Account And Donald Trump Exchange

Whether you love or loathe the Trey fan account, football fans who frequent X on a regular basis would have certainly seen the colourful and hilarious posts.

The Trey fan account often tells it how it is. And they certainly don’t care too much if some believe the content published is right or wrong.

Once the unusual Trey and Trump ‘exchange’ was posted, many were quick to point out that Trump has likely hindered his chances of being re-elected as President.

Trump even promised Trey to send him important election updates for the state of North Carolina! Nonetheless, Trey perhaps needs to get his football shouts correct before trying to fool users into their unlikely ‘friendship.’

One account who uses the handle @DestUTD replied to Trump’s X post explaining: ‘UTDTrey voting for you means you lost already’ with three crying face emojis.
