Raul Rosas Jr. has announced his plan to become the youngest UFC Champion in history and retire at just 25-years-old.

Raul Rosas Jr. Confirms Plan To Retire At 25 Years Old

The 19-year-old will make his fifth walk to the UFC Octagon at UFC 306 (headlined by Sean O’Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili) as he goes head-to-head with Aori Qileng the Sphere in Las Vegas.

So far, the Mexican fighter has a record of 3-1 in the UFC, beating Jay Perrin, Terrence Mitchell and Ricky Turcios but losing to Christian Rodriguez.

In order to break Jon Jones’ record, Rosas Jr. will need to clinch UFC gold in the next four years, as Jones won the Light Heavyweight title at 23.

However, the 19-year-old has confirmed that he plans on retiring at 25-years-old after breaking Jon Jones’ record as the youngest UFC Champion.

He said (Via ESPN): “I said before: Suffer now and enjoy later. So right now, I’m just going to go all gas, no brakes, try to accomplish my dreams, finish my career pretty early and enjoy later.

“I just want to accomplish my dreams which is to become the youngest UFC champion, have the belt, defend the belt a few times, and then probably retire. Hopefully by 25 years old, my career is all said and done, and I’m able to enjoy time with my family and whatever I decide to do.”

The teenager also spoke about his upcoming fight against Qileng, highlighting how much of a challenge it will be – but a finish at UFC 306 will put the top 15 Bantamweights on his radar.

He said (Via ESPN): “I feel like I’m right on track. Right now, this is my opportunity. This fight this Saturday is going to put me in a very good spot with four wins in the UFC, four finishes. So right now I’m focused on that and whatever comes next, I’m going to be ready.”
