The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.

Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew successfully opposed YOU OWE ME MONEY (4th, 6-5f) at Gowran Park yesterday and has three recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, September 4th…

SOUTHWELL JOCKEYS

P J MCDONALD has a good book of rides at Southwell on Wednesday, starting with Andrew Balding’s SECRET OF LOVE in the two-runner fillies’ maiden (2.23). She was trading as the second favourite at the time of writing behind Godolphin’s newcomer CARDINAL POINT, but she showed plenty of ability when sixth at Newmarket on her debut and can put that experience to good use. MINSTREL KNIGHT is likely to start odds-on for the 1m4f handicap (3.23) on the strength of his last time out Carlisle victory and he ran well in both start here last winter. Perhaps the most interesting of McDonald’s rides today is Sylvester Kirk’s THE PUG. The four-year-old has a good record in handicap company on the back of a recent outing and the return of McDonald to the plate – 1-1 on the four-year-old – looks significant after a trio of unplaced efforts under a 7lb claimer. MELON TWIST (5.38) took a step forward when fourth at Thirsk in July and Karl Burke’s filly can pick up points in this 7f fillies’ novice and, with luck, we’ll have covered the spread before outsider EXCEED NOW lines up in the finale at 6.08.

Recommendation: Buy P J MCDONALD in Southwell Jockeys

BATH 3.32

BEDFORD HOUSE is forecast to start as the 25-1 outsider of the entire field in this 5.7f handicap but there was enough promise in last month’s 50-1 fifth of 12 at Windsor to warrant a small bet. In-form Tony Carroll’s five-year-old, who was having only his sixth career start that day and fourth outing for his current yard, fared fourth best of the unfavoured near side group and had also hinted at ability when a 28-1 fifth over today’s track and trip on his penultimate start. He’s not certain to encounter the strong early gallop that he probably needs but with 14 of his yard’s last 17 runners winning or making the frame he looks worth a punt. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price, each-way.

Recommendation: Back BEDFORD HOUSE in Bath 3.32

SOUTHWELL 6.08

In-form James Tate and jockey Rossa Ryan have a fine record when combining on the all-weather, scoring with 21 of the 72 runners (29.2%) for a profit of £39.52 to a £1 level stake at SP, including form figures at Southwell of 11222 (2-5) for a profit of £23.00. STANLEY SPENCER was only third when 6-4 favourite at Chelmsford last time but was drawn widest of all and looks a potential improver with Ryan taking the ride for the first time. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back STANLEY SPENCER in Southwell 6.08
