FPL Gameweek 10 tips

Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen, and I’m back to share my top FPL Gameweek 10 tips and beyond, right here on SportsCasting.

I finished 700th in the world in 2022/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously.
I hope everyone had a spooky Halloween. I dressed up as Bruno Fernandes because he’s been ghosting for my FPL side all season.

Pingreen’s FPL Gameweek 10 Tips

Captain Pick – Mo Salah – £12.7m – BHA (H)

There’s never a bad time to captain Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, but there are some really, really good times to do it, and facing a Brighton side likely without captain Lewis Dunk is one of those occasions.

The Egyptian is the highest scorer in the game at this point of the season, with his 85 total points being 10 higher than Erling Haaland. Ultimately, this week it just comes down to the fixtures.

I believe a home fixture for Salah against a Brighton side that concedes goals is more appealing than Haaland’s away trip to Bournemouth, and that’s why he’s my captain pick this week.

Defender – Ibrahima Konate – £5.3m – BHA (H)

This might be the first time since he signed for Liverpool that I’ve had real faith in Ibrahima Konate’s minutes. For the majority of his time in Merseyside, he’s missed multiple games due to minor injuries or has been subject to heavy rotation to try and avoid those injuries.

At the start of the season, it looked like Jarell Quansah would be the preferred partner for Virgil Van Dijk, but since Quansah was unceremoniously replaced by Konate in the season opener, the Frenchman has absolutely nailed down the right center-back role.

He’s played brilliantly, while Quansah hasn’t made the most of his opportunities in cup competitions to try and win back that spot.

Slot’s Liverpool side has conceded the fewest goals in the league so far this season (5) and has the lowest xGA (7), so a nailed-on defender costing just £5.3m should be on your radar.

Midfielder – Phil Foden – £9.3m – BOU (A)

Rodri, KDB, Savinho, Grealish, Doku, and Oscar Bobb. These are all the players I needed to be injured to finally trust Foden’s minutes.

His talent is undeniable, with 27 goal contributions last campaign in 33 starts and 17 the year prior in just 22 starts. But despite that, his manager – long-time FPL enemy Pep Guardiola – has only given him 2 starts in the league so far this season. Crazy.

With Bournemouth and Brighton up next, starts should be all but guaranteed for Foden now, making it the perfect time to get him in your side. Unless Pep decides to unleash Gvardiol in attack (I wouldn’t put anything past him).

Forward – Raul Jimenez – £5.7m – BRE (H)

Cole Palmer, Erling Haaland, Nicolas Jackson, Savinho. These are the only five players who have started more than five games this season and have a higher xGI than Raul Jimenez.

After Muniz disappointed Fulham fans and FPL managers alike at the beginning of the season, manager Marco Silva made the switch to Raul Jimenez in Gameweek 3, and he has started every game for the Cottagers since.

In addition to the impressive underlying stats in that timeframe, he’s also netted 4 goals and provided 1 assist, and those are the things that actually reward you with points for your fantasy team.

At a low price of £5.7m and with a favorable fixture run against Brentford, Palace, and Wolves in the next three, the Mexican is the perfect budget enabler for your team right now.
