Mohamed Salah Rescues Point For Liverpool Against Arsenal In Gripping Draw At The Emirates
Watch Arsenal Vs Liverpool highlights as Mo Salah’s late equaliser earned the visitors a draw against the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday.
Arsenal took the lead twice before half time, but were pegged back after the break after losing defenders Gabriel and Jurrien Timber to injury.
Liverpool capitalised through Mohamed Salah, who slotted home Darwin Nunez’s square ball across goal to earn the visitors a deserved point.
Arsenal started the brighter, taking the lead through Bukayo Saka. The England international latched onto Ben White’s long ball and cut in from the right-hand, wrong-footing Andrew Robertson before blasting the ball high past Kelleher at the near post.
But Arsenal’s lead lasted less than ten minutes. Virgil van Dijk reacted quickest to Luis Diaz’s flick-on from a corner, heading Liverpool level from close range.
It was Arsenal who took the lead once more in the first half, though. Mikel Merino’s powerful header put them back in front from Declan Rice’s deep free-kick on the stroke of half time.
The second period saw mounting Liverpool pressure, and with Arsenal losing two key men at the back, an equaliser felt somewhat inevitable.
And in the 81st minute, Liverpool’s fifth-highest scorer of all time netted his 219th for the club in all competitions and earn Arne Slot’s side a hard-fought point.

A draw was far from the result either of these title rivals were hoping for. The result sees Manchester City finish the weekend on top of the Premier League.
Liverpool slip to second, one point below the champions after nine games. Arsenal are now five points below City, and need to make up ground if they are to remain in the title hunt.
Next up, Liverpool travel to Brighton in the Carabao Cup before hosting the Seagulls in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal’s next game is at Championship outfit Preston North End, also in the Carabao Cup.
The Gunners will then make the long trip up the M1 to face Newcastle in the Premier League next weekend.
