Manchester City Will Cover The Most Miles Out Of All British Sides Competing In The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League

Manchester City are set to cover the most miles out of all five British sides competing in the UEFA Champions League this season. 

The Cityzens will travel to PSG, Juventus, Sporting Lisbon and Slovan Bratislava – clocking up 8,418.8 miles in round trips.

Arsenal will register 7,740.8 miles. The Gunners will face Inter, Atalanta, Sporting Lisbon and Girona on their travels. Scottish Premiership side Celtic are third.

The Bhoys take on Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta, Dinamo Zagreb and Aston Villa away from home. This will generate 7,395.6 miles of travel.

In fourth is Arne Slot’s Liverpool on 6,883.6 miles. The Dutchman will lead the Reds on away journeys to RB Leipzig, Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Girona.

Therefore, Aston Villa will travel the least of the British clubs in Europe’s elite club competition. Unai Emery’s side clock up 5,571.8 miles when they play RB Leipzig, Club Brugge, Young Boys and Monaco.

Not only is Manchester City‘s Champions League travel the furthest, they will rack up more miles in Europe’s elite club competition and the Premier League combined.

In total, the Cityzens will cover 14,428.8 miles in their 19 away league fixtures and Champions League ties away from home.

Liverpool are just behind City in second. The Merseysiders will cover a total distance of 13,131.8 across both competitions.  Their furthest trip sees them cover 2,178 miles when playing in Girona. 

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are a little way off in third position. The north Londoners will cover 11,707.6 miles in total. Again, Aston Villa covers the least distance. The Villans register 9,839.8 miles across their 23 games.

Manchester City Champions League Travel: Cityzens Fans Set For Long Round Trips

Manchester City’s Champions League travel will see their fans plan for exciting trips this autumn. The competition is due to get underway on September 17.

Naturally, the trip to PSG is the shortest City supporters will need to plan for. They will register a 990.8 mile round trip when visiting the French capital.

A visit to Turin to play Juventus will also need to be planned. In total, 1,939.8 miles will be covered when Pep Guardiola’s side visits the Allianz Stadium.

For those unfamiliar with the Slovakian capital,  a fine away day beckons against Slovan Bratislava – covering 2,362 miles. Lastly, City’s longest trip sees them cover 3,126.6 miles when they face Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.
