Jannik Sinner Doping

Outspoken Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has once again taken aim at Jannik Sinner, this time mocking the World No. 1’s recent clearance from doping charges.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has launched an appeal against the independent tribunal’s decision to clear Sinner, who tested positive for a banned substance in March.

The tribunal accepted Sinner’s explanation that the substance entered his body accidentally through a massage.

Kyrgios, who has been very outspoken about Sinner’s failed anti-doping tests, has not shied away from expressing his opinion on the Italian’s situation.

In a previous post on social media, Kyrgios suggested that Sinner should have been banned for two years, regardless of whether the positive test was accidental or intentional.

Now, with WADA’s appeal, Kyrgios has seized the opportunity to further mock Sinner.

In an Instagram post, Kyrgios wrote, “Hahaha maybe not so innocent after all eh?” He also added in the comments section, “Hahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahahahaha god I hope the people running this thing don’t care that he is number 1 and has money.”

Sinner, who has previously brushed off Kyrgios’ criticism, has not yet responded to the latest comments. The outcome of WADA’s appeal could have significant implications for Sinner’s career. If the appeal is successful, Sinner could face a ban of up to two years.

As WADA’s appeal progresses, it remains to be seen how the situation will impact the relationship between Kyrgios and Sinner. Whether or not Sinner is ultimately banned, the incident is likely to fuel a rivalry between these two polarising figures in the tennis world.
