Kylian Mbappe found himself at the centre of a media storm as he enjoyed a night out in Stockholm on Thursday – the same evening that his France teammates were playing Israel in the Nations League.

Mbappe Spotted Partying In Stockholm Nightclub

The Real Madrid star was granted permission to skip the international break due to a recent thigh injury, allowing him to rest and recover.

However, his decision to spend his time off partying in Sweden has raised eyebrows and sparked debates about his commitment to the national team.

According to reports, Mbappe was spotted out and about in Stockholm with friends, visiting exclusive restaurants and nightclubs.

His presence in the Swedish capital while his teammates were competing in a competitive match has led to criticism from some fans and pundits.

Deschamps: Mbappe Injury ‘Not Serious’

Despite the controversy, Mbappe’s relationship with France manager Didier Deschamps appears to be intact.

When questioned about Mbappe’s absence, Deschamps defended his decision, stating that the forward was not in the best physical condition and required additional treatment to recover properly.

“I have no doubt about Kylian’s commitment, but he was not in the best condition during the last gathering,” Deschamps said.

“He has a problem which is not serious, but he needs treatment to recover properly. I am not here to take risks. That is why Kylian is not here.”

Mbappe posted a message of support for his teammates before the match, and his Madrid teammate Aurelien Tchouameni was given the captaincy in his absence.

With a rare opportunity to rest and recharge, Mbappe will be eager to return to action for Los Blancos’ upcoming fixture against Celta Vigo on October 19.
