Jon Jones Tom Aspinall

Jon Jones has now responded to Interim UFC Heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, giving a scathing comment over a potential fight between the two.

Jon Jones Slams Tom Aspinall With Brutal Social Media Post

Jones, the UFC Heavyweight champion, has taken to social media to reveal his thoughts on Tom Aspinall, who has been provoking the champion in hopes of securing a fight.

Since winning the interim title against Sergei Pavlovic at UFC 295, Aspinall has been pleading for a fight against Jones and this was amplified after his recent victory over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.

In his post-fight interview at UFC 304, Aspinall gave a respectful answer when asked about Jon Jones, claiming he has nothing against the champion but just thinks he can beat Jones in the cage.

However, this tone has changed in the weeks after, as Jones is reportedly set to fight Stipe Miocic in his first heavyweight title defence – which has not gone down well with Aspinall.

Miocic, who has been described as the best Heavyweight in UFC history, has not fought since UFC 260 in March 2021 – where the American was knocked out by Francis Ngannou.

This has left many UFC fans wondering why he is next in line to fight Jon Jones, instead of the interim champion and Aspinall’s recent activity on social media has shown his thoughts on the matter.

The Manchester-born fighter posted a video suggesting that Jon Jones is ducking the potential bout and the post has received over 100 thousand likes.

Jones has ignored these criticisms and call outs for the large part, but the 37-year-old has finally responded and did so in brutal fashion.

In an expletive comment, Jones claims that Aspinall will never win as many world championships as him and believes there is ‘no one like’ Jon Jones.

Aspinall responded online, saying that Jones has won more world championships, but pointed out the issues the American has had with PEDs in the past.
