Did 41 year-old darts player James Wade fart during a live match at the Players Championship this week? Well, the jury is still out, but the video evidence of the alleged James Wade fart is below. Make your own minds up.

James Wade was 6-5 up in legs in his quarter-finals match against Callan Rydz at the Players Championship in Leicester when Wade was caught on camera walking over to his table – half bending over and seemingly ‘letting one go’.

The whole James Wade farting incident was caught on camera so there was no hiding place for the top arrows man.

With the footage wasting no time on hitting the top social media platforms.

Wade won the match 6-5, but ending up being ‘trumped’ by Scot Gary Anderson 7-4 in the semi-final.

Anderson went onto win the Players Championship 8-4 – beating Connor Scutt in the final.

James Wade Responds With Hilarious X Post After Farting Incident

With Wade looking to have no wind left in his sails he also took to ‘X’ to respond to the now viral clip – posting an hilarious clip of Little Britain’s character Sir Norman Fry – played as a disgraced MP who gives funny speeches after his wrongdoings, with David Walliams as the actor.

Wade, who is ranked 18th in the PDC Order of Merit, responded by claiming his alleged fart was actually the result of the velcro on his trainers. Prompting eagle-eyed darts fans to check to see if he was even wearing velcro-style footwear.

“I feel I must address a situation following my run to the semi-finals of PC22 today.

“Footage has emerged of me doing what appears to be a ‘shart’ at the end of one of my matches.

“It was actually the velcro on my new trainers.

“I now consider this matter put to bed as don’t wish to talk about it again.” Said Wade

Darts Fans Are Not Buying The Velcro Shoe Fart Excuse From James Wade

However, regardless if James Wade was actually trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes with his velcro shoe excuse – darts fans are seemingly not buying any of it.

While with Wade then posting after fart-gate that he’d be flying to Switzerland for his next tournament. This resulted in even more ‘blow-off’ gags from fans.
