Jake Paul’s team have responded to Eddie Hearn after the Matchroom Boxing promoter labelled a fight with Mike Tyson as a ‘freakshow’.

The internet star, turned professional boxer, has made a huge impact in the world of boxing, selling out stadiums across the USA and beating some big names in the world of combat sports.

On November 15th, Paul is set to take part in his biggest fight to date, as he faces Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas.

The bout will make history as it is set to be the first boxing event that is streamed live on Netflix as opposed to a traditional PPV.

It was originally set to take place on July 20th, however, the veteran heavyweight boxer was pulled from the bout due to medical concerns.

Those involved in the fight business have criticised the fight due to Tyson’s age and current health, causing Jake Paul’s team to respond – specifically to Eddie Hearn.

Hearn called the match up a ‘freakshow’ and Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Pau;’s manager/co-founder of MVP, had some choice words for the Matchroom Boxing promoter.

He said (Via Instagram): “I keep getting sent these articles on Eddie Hearn taking shots at Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson,

“How, if you’re involved you have no empathy for the sport, how he’d never be involved in a million years.

“Eddie, you’re involved, man. Involved in a big way. Katie Taylor, your most celebrated fighter, is the co-main event and it’s her biggest payday as you know.

“It’s funny. I remember when Francis Ngannou was fighting Tyson Fury, you were out there saying. This is a circus. This is a clown show. This shouldn’t be happening.

“But as soon as the opportunity came for you to be involved with Anthony Joshua versus Francis Ngannou, you were running so fast to sign that contract and make a talk about, Oh, this is a real fight. Oh, it’s such a big deal.”

This video quickly spread across the various social medias, which led to BJ Flores, who has trained Jake Paul in the past, to agree with Nakisa Bidarian – saying ‘He (Nakisa) is 100% correct. Everybody switches up.’

Upon seeing this, Hearn decided to reply with his thoughts on the fight and how it differs from the Francis Ngannou vs Anthony Joshua bout.

He said (Via Twitter): “There’s a bit of a big difference. Francis was an active UFC fighter who basically beat (IMO) Tyson Fury. That win gave him all the credibility he needed. Mike is in his 50s and 20 years ago he was shot as a fighter.”

Flores then responded, claiming Paul has done a lot for boxing in a short space of time and that Tyson is a grown man who can make his own decisions.

Which Hearn responded to with: “Absolutely but from someone who idolised Mike Tyson and knows he should NEVER be in the ring again, I find it very sad.

“Tyson is in his 50s and when he last fought professionally 20 years ago it was sad to watch. I don’t believe he is healthy enough to fight and if it’s gonna be competitive then that says it all.

“As for a grown man making his own decisions you know it’s up to the people around fighters to make the right decision and you know he shouldn’t be fighting. You are a boxing man BJ! Anyway, god bless my friend.”
