Ireland Englans Squad Values

England head to Dublin to take on Ireland in the Nations League on Saturday evening, and there is close to £1 billion separating the squad values of both sides in the lead-up to the action.

September’s international fixtures are almost upon us, and in one of the standout fixtures in the opening round Nations League matches, an old rivalry will be rekindled as Ireland host England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Both sides head into the tie ready to embark on a new era, with the Irish playing under new head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson for the first time, while Lee Carsley takes charge of the Three Lions for the first time.

Ireland have handed a first call-up to Leicester City winger Kasey McAteer, who hails from Northampton, with the 22-year-old opting to represent the Republic rather than Northern Ireland.

The Boys in Green had also been sweating over the fitness of their most valuable player, 19-year-old Evan Ferguson, however the £42 million-rated striker has been pictured in training and should be involved in some capacity when the Three Lions come to visit.

As for England, former Under-21s manager Carsley has handed Tino Livramento, Morgan Gibbs-White, Angel Gomes, and Noni Madueke their first senior international call-ups and has also recalled Manchester-based duo Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire.

There are plenty that miss out on Carsley’s first camp though, with Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, and Ollie Watkins withdrawing from the squad, while Jude Bellingham and Luke Shaw are also ruled out through injury.

When comparing the squad values of both Ireland and England ahead of Saturday’s clash in the Irish capital, it’ll come as little surprise to hear that the Three Lions boast the more expensive squad.

In fact, Carsley’s selected players combine to a value worth close to £1 billion more than Ireland’s squad, but if the likes of Bellingham, Palmer, Foden, Watkins, etc. were involved, they’d undoubtedly surpass that figure.

With data collected via Transfermarkt , read on for the full squad values of both Ireland and England as derby day nears.
