Joyce Chisora UFC 304

Ahead of Joe Joyce vs Derek Chisora and UFC 304 this weekend, both being held in the United Kingdom, we’re taking a look at how much a night at the boxing event costs in comparison to the MMA event.

The UK plays host to two major fighting events on Saturday, as Joe Joyce goes head-to-head with Derek Chisora in an all-British boxing heavyweight showdown at the O2 Arena in London, and the likes of Molly McCann, Paddy Pimblett, Tom Aspinall, Belal Muhammad, and Leon Edwards are all in action at UFC 304 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.

As is expected at major sporting events nowadays, fans will have to spend a pretty penny to be able to enjoy the full experience of attending, using public transport, and buying food and drink at the venue.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated action this weekend, we at SportsCasting have delved deep into the pricings behind both events, and are offering a comparison on how much it would cost the average event goer to attend each event.

Event Ticket Price Food & Drink Public Transport Total Cost
Joe Joyce vs Derek Chisora £64.75 £48.60 £5.60 £118.95
UFC 304 £232.30 £47.95 £0 £280.25

Ticket Prices For Joe Joyce vs Derek Chisora & UFC 304

There is a huge discrepancy between the prices of tickets for Joe Joyce vs Derek Chisora, and the prices of tickets for UFC 304, with the most expensive ticket for the former being cheaper than the least expensive ticket for the latter.

£64.75 will be enough to get you through the door at the O2 Arena with the cheapest available ticket, but if you’re looking to secure more favourable seating, it will cost you up to over £100 more, with the most expensive ticket costing £168.75.

Unsurpising given the stature of the UFC globally, the cheapest ticket to attend the Co-op Live Arena on Saturday comes at a price of £232.30. The closer to the octagon you get, as expected, the more expensive it gets. Tickets range from anywhere between the £232.30 minimum all the way to a whopping £3,634 according to the official ticketing portal.

Public Transport Prices For Joe Joyce vs Derek Chisora & UFC 304

In terms of public transport, it’s hard to calculate an accurate example as many will be travelling far and wide across the country to attend each event, therefore we’ll be calculating how much it costs to get from the city centre, in both Manchester and London, to get to the venues.

To get to the O2 Arena from King’s Cross & St. Pancras International, all you need to do is transfer to the underground station, before taking the Northern line to London Bridge, transfer to the Jubilee line to North Greenwich, then walk to the venue from here. This should only take around 40 minutes, and will only cost £2.80 when tapping in and out at the tube stations during off peak hours.

The same journey, but reversed, can be followed to get back to King’s Cross & St. Pancras International, incurring another £2.80 cost, taking the total for public transport to £5.60.

As for UFC 304, getting to the Co-op Live Arena has been made easier than ever. Free shuttle buses to the event have been prepared for attendees, departing from stand EQ on London Road in the city centre every five minutes between 10pm and 2am.

Getting back to the city centre is just as easy too, as free shuttle buses will once again be in operation, departing from Sports City Way at the Etihad Campus from 4am until 8am.
