Scottie Scheffler’s Caddie Earned $5 Million In 2024
Who would have thought carrying a set of golf club around can make you a millionaire.
Well, it can – and this is exactly what happended to Ted Scott, who has been Scottie Scheffler’s caddie over his lucrative 2024 season that saw the best golfer on the planet at the moment win around $62 million in prize money.
This is because according to Golflink.com, caddies on the PGA Tour earn between $1,500 to $3,000 per week, plus also take a percentage of any winning prize money.
With the percentage prize money on winnings reported to be between 6-8% and at times up to 10% – but each player and caddie will come to their own arrangements.
Therefore, this means with Scheffler winning up to $62m this season, his caddie Ted Scott would have bolstered his bank account by more than $5m.
Scheffler, who won his second Masters and green jacket at Augusta in April, had won his caddie around $2.6m with all his wins and places till September.
However, another big windfall for Scottie Scheffler’s caddie came in the final month of the tour, when the world number one landed the FedEx Cup – winning $25m and approx. another $2.5m for Ted Scott.
