Having won the recent Chicago LIV Golf tournament, top Spanish hitter Jon Rahm banked $4m – however, with the victory also meaning he ended the 2024 LIV Golf season top of the standings there was another huge payday waiting for Rahm.

Jon Rahm Wins $18m LIV Golf Bonus For Finishing Top Of The 2024 Standings

Big hitting Jon Rahm was heading into the final LIV Golf event at Chicago top of the standings, so he knew that another win would not only secure the $4m payout for winning that event, but also add another big golf $18m bonus for ending the season top of the tree.

That’s exactly what the Spainard did as Rahm powered to a three shot win over LIV Golf Standings second placed Joaquin Niemann in Chicago to win both lucrative pots.

The bogey-free final round of 66 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Sunday was enough to see Jon Rahm, who is playing on the LIV Golf tour for the first time this season since leaving the PGA Tour at the end of 2023.

Rahm’s LIV Golf deal was rumoured to be $218m per-year, plus prize money and bonuses. Which would take him close to the $260m Saudi-based football legend Cristiano Ronaldo earns.

With the LIV Golf Tour also having a team event, Rahm plays in the Legion XIII, and thanks to his efforts this season they are sitting second in the table.

The final team event being played over the weekend of 20th-22nd September.

Rahm Recorded Top Ten Finishes In ALL 12 LIV Tournaments

In winning the $18m LIV Tour standings bonus, Jon Rahm recorded a remarkable top ten finish in all 12 tournaments but failed to impress back in the big golf majors this season. Ending up a tied 45th in the Masters and failing to make the cut in the PGA Championship.

His best finish was a tied-seventh in the Open and also just finished out of the medals at the Paris Olympics for Spain when fourth.

As a result, the former world number one is down to 15th in the overall world rankings, with the LIV tour not taken into consideration for this.

On the LIV Tour, however – in addition to his recent Chicago win, Jon Rahm also won LIV Golf United Kingdom at the end of July. Winning $4m in prize money for each.
