It was a night to remember for Harry Kane who scored twice on his 100th cap for England, wearing golden boots in a 2-0 win over Finland.

Harry Kane Bags Double On 100th England Cap

It just had to be him! Harry Kane scored twice on his 100th England cap as the Three Lions beat a resilient Finland side on Tuesday night.

Lee Carsley remains unbeaten since taking over the national team after Kane’s sublime brace.

The Bayern Munich striker’s monumental evening was made with a terrific effort just before the hour mark. Trent Alexander-Arnold intercepted a loose Finland pass, pinging the ball into the feet of Kane who cut the ball onto his right foot and converted well.

His brace against Finland meant he has now scored 68 goals for England.

Finnish ‘keeper Lukas Hradecky had been hard to get past until the 57th minute, and was kept busy all night by the England entourage. The Bayer Leverkusen shot-stopper made six saves at Wembley, but couldn’t keep Kane out in the end.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur forward soon had his second of the night, finding the back of the net with a vintage strike on the 76th minute. It was a wonderful team move in which Noni Madueke recorded an assist on his senior debut.

Kane’s two goals settled the affair, with Carsley’s side recording a convincing 2-0 win.

After a memorable international break for Kane, he’ll return to club action this weekend as Munich head to Holstein Kiel in the Bundesliga. Just a few days later they have a home tie against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. The 31-year-old already has two goals in his opening two games for the German giants.

Meanwhile next up for the Three Lions is Greece next month and an away trip to Finland, both in the Nations League. Those England fixtures take place on the 10th October and 13th October respectively.
