Who Is Francis Ngannou’s Girlfriend?

As one of the most recognisable figures in the fight game, fans all around the world want to know a little bit more about Francis Ngannou’s personal life. Both MMA and boxing fans have various questions about Ngannou’s personal life, including whether he has a girlfriend or not.

Here at SportsCasting, we aim to answer those questions in this article! Although his career is very public and in the mainstream media, it’s safe to say that less is known about his personal life.

As of today, there is limited information about Francis Ngannou’s girlfriend and whether he is actually dating anyone at all. The 38-year-old could well be loved up and in a relationship, but there are no reports confirming or denying this.

However, there were previously rumours circulating that the former UFC heavyweight king was dating former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate. Whether or not this was true or not, or is true and Tate is Ngannou’s mystery partner, remains to be seen.

Although neither party ever confirmed the speculation, they pair were rumoured to have be dating after meeting on several occasions in the past. Tate has been complimentary of Ngannou over the years, saying he has been a true gentleman and a great person every time she met the former UFC heavyweight king.

In April 2022, the two fighters met at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, with Miesha Tate later uploading a photo of her, Ngannou and Tate’s two children to her Twitter feed.

It seems unlikely that Ngannou and Tate were every together in a romantic way, but this could have been the case.

Does Francis Ngannou Have Any Children?

Although there isn’t too much known about Francis Ngannou’s girlfriend, if indeed he has one, one thing we do know is that Ngannou did have a child, who sadly passed away in April 2024.

The 1986-born Cameroon native became a father back in January 2023. The mother of Ngannou’s son, who they named Kobe, was unknown. There were some complications from very early on with Kobe, who was fighting for his life almost from the day he was born.

“The best way to pay tribute to him, to honour him, is to do something positive. To keep staying active because that’s the best way to pay tribute to him instead of just quit because, if I stop fighting, that would have been like quitting.

“(He was) a brave guy. He came as a king and he left as a king – he was just something special. For some reason, he couldn’t live longer,” Ngannou said in a recent interview with CNN Sport.

In April 2024, Kobe sadly passed away at just 15 months old. Ngannou got a tattoo off Kobe’s name on his bicep in tribute, as well as paying tribute to his son when making his PFL debut on October 19th. He of course won the fight via Round 1 knockout, and dedicated the win in an emotional post-fight interview to his late son.

Kobe was Ngannou’s only child, who was taken from this world far too early. Like the champion he is, Francis Ngannou continues to remember his son and pay tribute to him each and every day. A true fighting man, just like his son.
