FPL Salah’s Top Three Differential Picks For Gameweek 6

See below the three Premier League differential picks that FPL Salah says you should have on your Gameweek 6 radars.

Eddie Nketiah (£5.9m) – Crystal Palace, 1% owned

Eddie Nketiah is yet to get off the mark for his new club but looking at his performances and underlying numbers would suggest returns are not far away.

In his two games he has managed six shots in the box with an xG (expected goals) of 0.5 and an xA (expected assists) of 0.2.

Crystal Palace haven’t really been at the races this season but they have the quality of players in their squad to turn it around.

They come up against Everton in Gameweek 6 who have been leaky at the back. The Toffees have conceded the most goals (14) with an xGC (expected goals conceded) of 9.1 (fifth worst).

It’s a good fixture for the ex-Arsenal man to register his first attacking returns. I can see this game having goals as both teams haven’t really been the best defensively.

Palace also have quality players in Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta, so I think it’s only a matter of time before they click into gear.

Nketiah never really got a run in for Arsenal but when he played, he was often on the score sheet. Over the last two seasons for the Gunners he scored nine goals and registered six assists in only 19 starts.

With more consistent gametime at Palace, he could become a great value option real soon.

Phil Foden (£9.3m) – Manchester City. 5.4% owned

Phil Foden has been hampered by illness and injury this season, but he does look to be fit again.

He played 20 minutes against Arsenal last Sunday, and with Rodri out for the season and Kevin De Bruyne injured too, he is likely to be back in the starting XI.

Foden had his best ever goalscoring returns and FPL points tally last term with 19 goals, eight assists and 230 points so we know he is an elite FPL option.

Manchester City come up against Newcastle United in Gameweek 6, who have been quite poor in all honestly.

They have managed to scrape a few wins which have papered over the cracks, so I think this fixture looks better than it does on paper.

City are the best attacking team in the league and Foden will be the main playmaker in De Bruyne’s absence. He has both goals and assists in his locker and with Haaland in the form he is in, I am sure Foden will find the Norwegian more than a few times.

Foden’s ownership right now is super low also, and if there is ever a time to jump on him before he hits form, it’s now. There is obviously always a chance of him being benched again but that’s the risk we take with most City assets.

With the injuries to their personnel, I think the England international starts this one and will continue to be a key figure in City’s season.

Pep Guardiola’s team’s fixtures long term are great too from an attacking viewpoint. Their next seven read – Newcastle (a), Fulham (H), Wolves (A), Southampton (H), Bournemouth (A), Brighton (A) and Spurs (H)

Dwight McNeil (£5.4m) – Everton. 2.4% owned

Dwight McNeil has been going under the radar a bit. He is only £5.4m and looks a great budget option despite Everton’s dismal form.

He has one goal and two assists and his underlying numbers have been very impressive especially for someone at his price.

McNeil has had five shots in the box and an xG of 0.2 but created 20 chances with an xA of 2.8.

He is Everton’s most creative player without a doubt and the 24-year-old is also on set-pieces.

What makes him even more interesting as an option is he has played as the number 10 in the last three league games as opposed to his original position on the left and that’s where his attacking returns have come from.

Everton have a home game against Crystal Palace and will fancy themselves here, as the Eagles have struggled to get going this season too.

Furthermore, Everton’s fixtures long-term look great, so McNeil does provide a good option as your fifth midfielder.

He has played 90 minutes in every league game this season, so is one of Sean Dyche’s most nailed attackers.

Everton play Palace (H), Newcastle (H), Ipswich (A), Fulham (H) and Southampton (A) in the next five.
