Gianni is back with another round of Fantasy Premier League tips – this time focusing on the best differential picks for FPL Gameweek 8.

In a world where you own most of the same premium players as your FPL mini-league rivals, to steal a march on your mates, you often need a differential to deliver.

Here are five players under 10% owned to consider.

FPL Gameweek 8: Differential Picks Under 10% Ownership

Phil Foden (Manchester City)

Phil Foden has started Manchester City’s last two games playing as the number 10, and because he blanked last time out against Fulham, very few will be buying him despite the obvious signs that he could be an FPL gift again this season.

The current footballer of the year clocked a goal and assist last time out in the Champions League, and City’s run of fixtures offers huge upside for the playmaker, who is under 6% owned – but won’t be for long.

Noni Madueke (Chelsea)

Noni Madueke has the sixth most points of all midfielders so far this season, and he is criminally undervalued.

He costs less than half a Mo Salah and is an alternative option for those that can’t stretch to a Cole Palmer but still want to cover one of the best functioning attacks in the league.

In fact, only Manchester City have scored more than Chelsea, and in Madueke, Enzo Maresca has a profile he likes from his wide men. He’s direct, always a goal threat, stays wide, and offers huge threat in behind.

Having started the last six league games—the first time he has done so in his Chelsea career—he’s now firmly first choice.

Tyler Dibling (Southampton)

Tyler Dibling is the bright spark in this Southampton team, and at £4.6m, he is arguably the best enabler in the game.

Other midfielders at the same price point either don’t start or play in a more defensive position than wide forward Dibling. At this price, he should be your eighth attacker and therefore someone that will more often than not be on your bench.

But with home games against Leicester and Everton coming up in the next three gameweeks, 3% owned Dibling is worth a place in FPL managers starting XI.

Brennan Johnson (Tottenham)

Brennan Johnson has 3 goals and 2 assists this season and has become first choice under Ange Postecoglou. At £6.5m, you’re getting a reliable goal threat for an attacking team who have created more big chances than any team so far this season.

With three home games in their next four, which include West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich, covering the Spurs attack feels necessary.

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)

Nikola Milenkovic is 0.4% owned and could become the best 4.5 million defender in the game this season. Nottingham Forest will keep lots of clean sheets with the proven defence first Nuno Espirito Santo in charge and a good fixture run on the horizon.

Unlike the rest of the Forest back line, at 6’5″, the Serbian offers huge set piece threat, especially since the arrival of James Ward-Prowse with his pinpoint delivery.
