Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli have reached total agreement with Napoli to sign long-term Chelsea target Victor Osimhen, however they still await the green light from the Nigerian, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio Romano Osimhen Update: Al Ahli And Napoli Reach Total Agreement

Chelsea look set for a deadline day transfer battle for long-term target, Victor Osimhen, with football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that Al Ahli have reached total agreement with Napoli to sign the Nigerian marksman.

Romano believes that the deal is worth up to €75/80 million in total and that the Saudi Pro League outfit have already booked in a medical, however they still await the final green light from Osimhen and his team.

Al Ahli are said to be offering the striker a four-year deal worth a whopping €25/30m per year and will include a release clause as was requested by Osimhen himself.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Romano posted: “BREAKING: Napoli reach total agreement with Al Ahli for Victor Osimhen!

“Club to club deal done for €75/80m total package, Al Ahli have already booked a medical. Four year contract worth €25/30m per season net to Osimhen + RELEASE clause.

“Final green light up to Victor.”

In a follow-up post, the Italian also confirmed that the release clause is an affordable and easy one to meet for top European clubs, worth lower than the €100 million figure that’s been reported.

Chelsea Battling Al Ahli For Long-Term Target Osimhen

Big spending Chelsea have long held admiration for 2022/23 Serie A winner and top scorer Osimhen but have consistently struggled to get a deal over the line with his Naples-based employers.

The Blues have splashed the cash throughout the summer, signing a whole host of attacking players in Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Marc Guiu, however Enzo Maresca reportedly remains keen on signing a new No. 9 despite also having Nicolas Jackson at his disposal.

While Al Ahli have reached total agreement with the Italian side for Osimhen, Football London report that Chelsea are exploring a potential loan with an obligation to buy, and that they remain firmly in the race for the 25-year-old on deadline day.

Of course, Napoli themselves have already done business with Chelsea this summer, with Romelu Lukaku heading to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for an estimated €30 million fee, seemingly as Osimhen’s replacement.

Not only have the Stamford Bridge side been linked with Osimhen in recent months, but also Brentford’s Ivan Toney, and they look almost certain to miss out on him to Al Ahli, with the England international reportedly due to join the Saudi outfit on a three-year deal later today.
