England Squad

Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke has been recalled to the England squad after a seven year absence ahead of October’s Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.

England got off to a perfect start in the Nations League under new interim boss Lee Carsley last month, as they recorded back-to-back 2-0 victories away at Ireland and at home against Finland.

The Three Lions will quickly have to dust themselves off and return to action in October though, as they host Greece at Wembley, and head to Helsinki for the reverse fixture against the Finnish.

With only a week to go until the Greek visit the English capital, Carsley has named his latest England squad, and there’s a return for in-form Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke, who has been recalled to the senior national team after a seven year absence.

There are also returns to the squad for Jude Bellingham and Kyle Walker after the pair missed out through injury in September, as well as Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins, who were named in Carsley’s first squad, but were forced to withdraw due to injury and illness.

Morgan Gibbs-White, Angel Gomes and Noni Madueke retain their positions in the squad after being called up for the first time last month too, while there are no places for Tino Livramento, Harry Maguire, Jarrod Bowen and Eberechi Eze.
