Dan Bradbury Throws His Hat Into The Ryder Cup Ring After Winning Open de France

England’s Dan Bradbury has made a claim for a 2025 Ryder Cup place on the European team after holding his nerve to win the 2024 Open de France.

The world golf ranked 158th Dan Bradbury saw off a competitive field in the Open de France DP World Tour event at Le Golf National – a victory that also saw him enhance his claims for a European Ryder Cup place for 2025.

Bradbury’s win not only banked him $552,000 in Open de France prize money, but also gained him more Ryder Cup points and now sits sixth in the European standings for the 2025 renewal at Bethpage.

With the likes of Jon Rahm, who now played on the LIV Golf Tour, and Tommy Fleetwood behind him.

Dan Bradbury Saw Off Eleven Players Who Were All Tied For The Lead

The Open de France win for England’s Dan Bradbury was make even more remarkable as there were a staggering eleven players ALL tied for the lead at one point in the closing stages.

Bradbury, however, broke away from the pack with three birdies on the spin from the 14th hole – which was enough of a move to see him set a clubhouse target of -16 after shooting a 66.

Just in behind Dan Bradbury were Thorbjørn Olesen and Sam Bairstow, but neither could grab the all-important birdie on the 18th to force a play-off. They ended up tied second with two others – Paul Yannik and Jeff Winther.

The Open de France was Bradbury’s second DP World Tour win – having won the Joberg Open in 2022.

While this victory also moved Bradbury up to 98th in the Dubai Ranking.
