Chelsea and England star Cole Palmer has been voted the Premier League Player of the Month after registering an impressive five goals and one assist throughout September.

Cole Palmer has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September after an impressive month in front of goal. Chelsea’s star man led the division for goals, as well as goal involvements, for the month with five goals and one assist across four league appearances.

His tally includes an impressive four-goal haul against Brighton, which came across a 21-minute period, as he became the first player in history to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League match.

Additionally, he scored in the 3-0 win over West Ham and assisted Nicolas Jackson’s goal in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at the start of the month. His returns in September followed a stunning performance against Wolves at the end of August, in which he registered three assists and a goal in a 6-2 triumph.

He has also added another assist to his tally since the end of last month, as he found the pass for Noni Madueke’s leveller in the draw against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Palmer receives the Premier League Player of the Month award for just the second time in his career, having first earned the accolade in April 2024. In doing so, he became the first Chelsea player to receive the award since Eden Hazard in September 2018.

The 22-year-old adds the honour to his Premier League Goal of the Month trophy, received last month for his goal against Wolves, as well as the England Player of the Year award, which he was presented with prior to England’s defeat to Greece on Thursday.
