Cole Palmer goal involvements

Cole Palmer has more goal involvements since he joined Chelsea than any other Premier League player over the same period.

The England international moved to Stamford Bridge from Manchester City last season in a deal worth £40 million.

After scoring 22 goals in 33 Premier League games last campaign, the 22-year-old signed a ten-year contract extension that will see him through to 2033.

And with another strong start to the season, Palmer is once again making headlines. He became the first Premier League player in history to score four goals in the first half of a game, after netting all four of Chelsea’s goals in Saturday’s 4-2 victory against Brighton.

With six goals in six games so far, the youngster is on fire once more and has more Premier League goal involvements since joining Chelsea than any other player over the same period

With 43 combined goals and assists since the start of last season, Cole Palmer has overtaken Erling Haaland (41) for goal involvements.

Following those two are Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (38), Mo Salah of Liverpool (36) and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (31).

Cole Palmer Goal Involvements This Season

As well as his four goals against the Seagulls at the weekend, Palmer has been involved in plenty of Chelsea attacks.

He scored against West Ham a week ago, and at Wolves on 25 August. Palmer also set up three in the trip to the Molineux, and assisted another as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace.

To date, Palmer has 31 goals and 19 assists for Chelsea in 53 games in all competitions.

During his time with Manchester City, Palmer scored six and assisted two in 41 senior appearances.

And on the international stage, he has scored twice in nine senior England caps, including the equaliser in the Three Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Spain in the European Championship final defeat earlier this year.

Still only 22, there’s no telling just how far Cole Palmer can go in his career, but the young star is already lighting up the Premier League and proving he was not a one-season-wonder.
