Chris Sutton Predicts Wins For Title Contenders Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal in Gameweek 3
The third weekend of Premier League action is almost here. The usual suspects have all got off to flying starts, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all wining both of their opening games. Not to mention Brighton & Hove Albion who have six points from a possible six too after two gameweeks.
Now, the Premier League is really beginning to hot up as the feature fixture of the weekend sees Arne Slot’s Liverpool travelling to Old Trafford to take on bitter rivals Manchester United. Erik Ten Hag’s side won their opening game against Fulham, but then were beaten by Brighton last weekend.
Chris Sutton is predicting a win for the Reds on Super Sunday, with the visitors running our 2-1 winners on their travels to Old Trafford. Like Liverpool, Sutton is also predicting comfortable wins for both Arsenal and Manchester City in their two respective fixtures.
This means Chris Sutton’s Premier League predictions for the weekend will see those three aforementioned teams sitting on nine points from their opening three league matches. The only three remaining teams with a 100% record following Gameweek 3.
Wins For Chelsea, Spurs, Aston Villa and Brentford Too
Chris Sutton is also predicting that Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest will all remain unbeaten this weekend.
Spurs face a tough trip to St James’ Park, but Sutton is being bold and predicting a five goal thriller in which Ange Postecoglou’s side will run out 3-2 winners in north London.
Sutton also foresees Chelsea defeating Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, with Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth both remaining unbeaten with draws against Wolves and Everton respectively.
The former Celtic, Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers player is also predicting wins for Aston Villa on their travels to Leicester, with Brentford also winning against Southampton.
With Chris Sutton’s Premier League predictions this coming weekend, that would mean that only Crystal Palace and Southampton will have no points, with Everton, Ipswich and Wolves all picking up their first points of the season.
