Former Blackburn striker, Chris Sutton, has made his list of predictions for GW5 of the Premier League and is unsure about Chelsea’s trip to West Ham.

Chris Sutton Predicts West Ham vs Chelsea

Enzo Maresca’s side will be looking to build on their most recent Premier League fixture, as Christopher Nkunku scored late to win against Bournemouth.

The Blues have made a respectable start to their season, beating Bournemouth and Wolves, however, they were held at home by Crystal Palace and outclassed by Manchester City.

Summer signing, Jadon Sancho, put in a Man of The Match performance against Bournemouth after coming on from the bench and could be rewarded with a start against West Ham.

As for the Hammers, Julen Lopetegui has failed to make an instant impact after replacing David Moyes – with West Ham picking up just four points in their opening four matches.

The side from east London were held by Fulham in their last league fixture, as Danny Ings scored in the 95th minute to rescue a point for his team at Craven Cottage.

Chelsea have enjoyed the better start, however Chris Sutton, who had a brief spell at Stamford Bridge, is unsure about their trip to West Ham as he is not totally convinced by either side.

Sutton said (Via BBC Sport Column): “They spent a lot of money in the summer, about £130m on new players, but are they going to do better than last season under Moyes, when they finished ninth? I am not sure they will.

“This is a very difficult game to call because West Ham have not been playing particularly well and I am not convinced by Chelsea either.

“They were very fortunate to beat Bournemouth last time out. I really do not have a clue how this one will go, so I suppose the sensible thing for me to go for is a draw.”
