Arsenal star Bukayo Saka believes that this is the year the Gunners can finally clinch the Premier League title.

Saka, who led Mikel Arteta’s side out as captain, scored the second goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Speaking after Arsenal’s impressive victory, Saka told Thierry Henry and the CBS Sports panel, “I don’t want to put too much pressure on us, but I do think this is the year.”

He added, “I think we have been close the last two years, and we are getting closer, but this hopefully will be the year.”

The England international’s confidence is echoed by Arsenal’s strong start to the season. Despite dropping points against Brighton and Manchester City, the Gunners have remained unbeaten and are hot on the heels of league leaders Liverpool and City.

Saka’s performance against PSG, where he was instrumental in Arsenal’s dominant display, further highlighted his growing maturity and leadership qualities. His ability to create chances and score goals has been crucial to the team’s success this season.

As Arsenal prepare to face Southampton at home on Saturday, Saka’s positive outlook will undoubtedly inspire his teammates to continue their pursuit of the Premier League title.

A win against Southampton could put further pressure on Liverpool and City and cement Arsenal’s position as a serious contender for the championship.
