Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth Preview, Prediction, Team News And Confirmed Lineups
Here’s our Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth preview, team news and prediction ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Villa Park.
Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth Preview
Aston Villa
Unai Emery’s remarkable European form with Aston Villa continued as they made it three from three so far in the Champions League.
Having not played in Europe’s top competition for more than 40 years, Villa’s 2-0 win over Bologna sent them to the top of the table after round three of the league phase.
Villa beat BSC Young Boys and Bayern Munich, and are yet to concede in Europe this season.
On the domestic front, they are well in the hunt for another top-four finish, currently occupying the final Champions League spot.
They beat Fulham 3-1 away from home, and will climb to third if they better Arsenal’s result this weekend.
Villa have not lost in any competition since August’s defeat to the Gunners, and will look to maintain that run on Saturday.

Bournemouth
Trying to upset the odds at Villa Park, Bournemouth will be no pushovers. Cherries boss Iraola got the better of Spanish countryman Mikel Arteta last weekend, something Unai Emery’s Villa could not manage.
While an early red card for Arsenal’s William Saliba played a big part in Bournemouth’s win, their 2-0 victory was well deserved.
The South Coast outfit have made a solid start to the season, and a win on Saturday would likely take them into the top half.
A victory at Villa will be no easy feat, however. Bournemouth have failed to beat Aston Villa in their last three attempts, and are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season.
Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth Team News
A late red card against Fulham saw Villa’s Jaden Philogene sent off after two yellows. The winger therefore misses out through suspension.
But Unai Emery may have an otherwise full squad to select from, with Amadou Onana expected to be fit and available after being taken off against Bayern Munich.
Ollie Watkins is expected to slot back in up top for Jhon Duran, despite the latter scoring once again in midweek.
Bournemouth also have a clean bill of health as it stands. Tyler Adams was declared fit for the victory over Arsenal, though will have to fight for his place on Saturday.
Tactical changes may see Kluivert and Adam Smith come in for Dango Outtara and Julian Araujo.
Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth Confirmed Lineups
Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne; McGinn, Tielemans, Onana, Ramsey; Rogers; Watkins

Aston Villa Vs Bournemouth Prediction
Bournemouth have certainly good at creating chances, so we expect them to get on the scoresheet.
But with their poor away form and Villa’s momentum from midweek, we think the hosts will take all three points.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Bournemouth
