The Alisha Lehmann salary difference between her and Douglas Luiz has been branded ‘unfair’ by the Juventus Women’s star. 

In the summer, Lehmann and Luiz both completed historic moves away from Aston Villa. Meaning they became the first ever boyfriend and girlfriend football transfer.

Brazil international Luiz swapped Villa Park for the Allianz Stadium in a £50million deal. It is understood he pockets around £100,000 per-week.

Lehmann’s move proved to be a lot less fruitful in a financial sense. Subsequently, the 25-year-old is reported to be earning around the same as what she did in the Midlands – £200,000 per-year.

Disputes often arise about the vast pay difference in the men’s and women’s games. However, the revenue intakes favour the men by a considerable distance. Consequently, meaning wages are much higher.

Alisha Lehmann Salary Slammed By Juventus Women’s Star

The Alisha Lehmann salary dispute is not directly aimed at Juventus – but more a dig at how contrasting wages are across the men’s and women’s game.

“Everyone would like to have the same salary. I often speak to Douglas at home about this and tell him it’s not fair. We do the same job, but he gets paid a hundred times more than me,” she told  La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s something that affects me because I’m a woman. Obviously, there’s still a long way to go on the path we’re on because there may never be equal pay.

“There will have to be a very strong will to make a change in this direction,” she added. Nonetheless, many users on X, formerly Twitter, were quick to blast the glam Swiss star.

Many reminded her of her estimated £2.5m fortune that she’s earned via various endorsements deals and modelling. She also has 17m followers on Instagram alone.
