Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho hit back at an online troll after the Red Devil’s defeat to Liverpool on September 1.

Garnacho clashed with the ‘fan’ after the damaging loss in a post which has since been deleted. User @sulkfenomeno uploaded a ‘highlights’ video which appeared to directly mock the 20-year-old.

The Argentine has been eased into the 2024/25 season after featuring for La Albiceleste in the Copa America this summer. So far, he has netted in the Community Shield as well as assisting Joshua Zirkzee’s winner against Fulham.

However, in the losses to Brighton and Arne Slot’s side, Garnacho has struggled to assert himself. This prompted the social media troll to post the brutal video.

The upload was fitted with the title: ‘Alejandro Garnacho – Season so far.’ To the surprise of other users on X, formerly Twitter, Garnacho bit back.

Alejandro Garnacho Social Media Post

The Alejandro Garnacho social media post was a video that lasted two minutes and 17 seconds. All of which showed the Manchester United man struggling on the pitch.

Garnacho snapped back at the online bully with a now-deleted 11-word reply. He simply stated: “Wasting your time making clips of me – your life so far.”

Whether Garnacho took it upon himself or was told by someone at United to delete the reply remains to be seen. Nonetheless, thousands of users were able to see it.

The plot thickened further as the troll replied to Garnacho’s reply, saying: “Focus on your first touch and dribbling you bum. If you weren’t so bad I wouldn’t have any footage to post.”

They would also go on to add: “Oi I’m in tears, he really searched up his own name all for him to see a whole comp of his sh*t performances. His head is GONE. Do ur talking on the pitch you insecure bum.”

Garnacho joined the Red Devils youth set-up from Atletico Madrid in 2020. So far, he has netted 16 goals in 90 appearances across all competitions and provided 10 assists.

Despite the Argentine being hooked off after 69 minutes against Arne Slot’s side, the 20-year-old is set to feature in United’s next Premier League game against Southampton on September 14.
