FPL differentials

In a week where over 50% of engaged managers are on a wildcard which will no doubt include triple Arsenal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bryan Mbeumo and Erling Haaland, its worth considering a handful of FPL differentials to separate your team from the rest.

Gianni Buttice FPL Differential Picks For Gameweek 6

Antoine Semenyo is Bournemouth’s main man and he’s not only passing the eye test but the stats are backing his performances up.

Two goals, one assist so far this season as well as a disallowed goal at Anfield last time out. The Cherries have had a difficult run of fixtures to start the season but have still accumulated the third most attempts on goal in the league this season (84) with only Manchester City (99) and Tottenham (86) trouble their opponents more.

With two newly promoted teams in Southampton and Leicester up next, the Bournemouth attack will be confident in taking away six points and goals aplenty.

Semenyo is under 8% owned and costs 5.6 million and for many will be the eight attacker in their wildcard teams who can be benched when the fixtures turn. From Gameweek 8, Bournemouth have a tricky fixture run so be sure to have a good rotating seventh attacker to compliment the Ghanaian.

Everton for example play Ipswich, Fulham and Southampton in Gameweeks 8, 9, 10.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a great seventh attacker and has had a big price reduction this season. At 6.0 million and under 5% owned he offers greater upside than most budget forwards. With a good fixture run, the appeal of penalties and regular starts, there is a lot to like about the Everton forward.

The concern for many when investing in attackers from Sean Dyche teams is they don’t score enough goals but with five goals in their last three games it’s fair to say the Toffees have upped their game in attack and with a great fixture run ahead which starts with home games against Crystal Palace and Newcastle, this is as good a time to jump on as any.

Rico Lewis is a cheap route to the Manchester City defence which is widely regarded as the second best in the league behind Arsenal. Rotation is always a risk with Pep Guardiola teams, but Lewis has become flavour of the month and in Rodri’s absence, (reportedly out for the season), the Englishman should see even more game time in the middle of the park.

We’ve already seen Lewis hit the woodwork and have a goal disallowed this season and it’s fair to say he’s been unlucky not to score. If he gets the minutes, the clean sheets and attacking returns will be expected and as long as he’s covered with a good back up defender in your squad (a reliable starter) then he’s a risk worth taking.
