Rafael Nadal Has Been Included In Spain’s Team For The 2024 Davis Cup
Rafael Nadal has been named in Spain’s team for the 2024 Davis Cup finals which could prove to be his last professional event.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion has suffered with a plethora of injuries in recent times. Ironically, the Davis Cup finals will be held Malaga which could provide the perfect farewell in front of home supporters.
Previously, Nadal had strongly hinted that he could be hanging up his racket at the end of the current season. The 38-year-old hasn’t been see on court since the Paris Olympics.
He and compatriot Carlos Alcaraz reached the last eight in the men’s doubles before bowing out. Nadal had been named in Europe’s side for the Laver Cup before he withdrew.
Spain captain David Ferrer has included Nadal alongside World No 3 Alcaraz, Roberto Bautista Agut, Pablo Carreno and Marcel Granollers.

When Was The Last Time Spain Won The Davis Cup?
This year, the 2024 Davis Cup finals will run from November 19-24. Home nation Spain will take on the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
The remaining six competing nations are Italy, Germany, Canada, Argentina, the USA and Australia. There is no place for Great Britain as they fell short in the qualifiers.
You have to go back five years for the last time Spain won the Davis Cup. Ironically, their victory over Canada in the final was clinched by none other than Rafael Nadal. Could he bath in glory again one last time?
