Jannik Sinner Soars, Jack Draper Breaks into Top 20 as ATP Rankings Shake Up
Jannik Sinner has further cemented his position as world No. 1, breaking the 11,000-point milestone in the latest ATP Rankings update after his US Open title win.
Sinner’s Dominance Extends to ATP Rankings
Sinner’s straight-set victory over Taylor Fritz in the US Open final propelled him to a comfortable lead at the top of the tennis rankings.
The Italian maestro clinched his second Grand Slam title of the year, earning him 2,000 ranking points and solidifying his position as world No. 1.
Sinner’s triumph in Flushing Meadows, coupled with his consistently dominant performances throughout the 2024 ATP Tour season, has propelled him to a staggering 11,180 ranking points.
This remarkable feat places him among an elite group of players who have surpassed the 11,000-point mark, as he becomes the sixth person in history to do so.
Draper’s Meteoric Rise Marks a New Era for British Tennis
While Sinner’s ascent to the top has been nothing short of extraordinary, Jack Draper’s breakthrough into the top 20 of the ATP Rankings has also garnered significant attention.
The young British talent, who showcased his immense potential in New York, has made a meteoric rise through the ranks – almost poetically, just as fellow Brit Andy Murray bows out.
Draper’s impressive performance at the US Open, culminating in a first Grand Slam semi-final, has solidified his status as one of the most promising players on the tour.
Top 20 ! I remember 14 months ago I was sat on the coach at home watching the Wimbledon final and seeing my ranking drop outside top 100. Head was in the shed ! Shows what consistent work and great people around you can do !! Hungry for more.
