Manchester United fan and influencer Mark Goldbridge has labelled Brazilian midfielder Casemiro as “absolutely useless”, as the Red Devils were hammered 3-0 by Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

It was another afternoon to forget for Manchester United on Sunday, as Arne Slot’s Liverpool ran riot at Old Trafford with a very comfortable 3-0 victory to close out the Premier League gameweek.

A Luis Diaz double in the first half set the Reds on their way to three points, before Mohamed Salah slotted home a third in the second period to ensure a third successive victory in the league.

Not only have Liverpool won each of their three opening games, boasting a perfect record heading into the international window, but they have done so without conceding a goal, winning 2-0, 2-0, and 3-0.

Manchester United, meanwhile, after beating Fulham late on in their season opener, have now lost two league games on the bounce, with this weekend’s loss following a late defeat against Brighton at the Amex last week.

Mark Goldbridge Slams “Absolutely Useless” Casemiro

Unsurprisingly, following the defeat, fans and pundits pointed the fingers towards numerous members of the Red Devils squad, as well as at Erik ten Hag, with Red Devils fan and influencer Mark Goldbridge singling out Casemiro after his first half error led to Liverpool taking the lead after 35 minutes.

Goldbridge said: “Oh, f**king hell Casemiro, what the f**k are you doing there? I don’t even know what pass he’s playing.

“Oh, for f**k sake mate! That is completely on f**king Casemiro. Absolutely useless, f**king useless mate. He’s meant to be running the midfield; he couldn’t f**king run a bath! Just – prat!”

Of course, Goldbridge wasn’t the only one singling out Casemiro for his poor display, with pundits and fans across social media also highlighting the 32-year-old’s errors in Sunday’s derby match.

Casemiro’s wife, Anna Mariana, seemingly in response to the criticism her husband was receiving, posted an image of the Brazilian’s trophy cabinet on Instagram to remind fans of how much he’s won throughout his illustrious career.

In response to some fans defending Casemiro and perhaps his wife’s Instagram post, Goldbridge posted a follow-up tweet on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that the five-time Champions League winner has cost United three goals across just 50 minutes of play.

He said: “Now got some coming out feeling sorry for Casemiro. 350k a week and he’s cost us 3 goals in the last 50 minutes he’s played.

“Waking up and choosing excuses after yesterday, no wonder we fail. There are none. Everyone is accountable this season.”

United now face close to two weeks away from Premier League action thanks to the international window, and they’ll return on Saturday, 14 September, when they face newly promoted Southampton at St. Mary’s in gameweek four.
