Neto

In the latest Arsenal transfer news, Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto is set to join on a season-long loan after talks with Espanyol’s Joan Garcia break down.

Neto To Join Arsenal After Garcia Talks Reach Impasse

Arsenal had identified Garcia has their top target to to replace Aaron Ramsdale, who is departing for Southampton. However, Espanyol are insisting that Arsenal pay the €30m (£25m) release clause for the 23-year-old if they wish to sign him.

Two failed bids for Garcia have lead Arsenal to turn their focus to former Barcelona stopper Neto. The Brazilian is expected to join on a season-long loan, with no option or obligation to buy, and will provide cover for David Raya.

With Neto departing, Mark Travers is likely to stay at Bournemouth following interest from Crystal Palace.

Palace had considered Travers as a replacement for Sam Johnstone, who is joining Wolves. The Eagles may now explore a move for Nottingham Forest’s Matt Turner.

Ramsdale and Cornet Set for Southampton

Ramsdale is expected to join Southampton in time for their clash with Brentford. The deal, valued at £18 million upfront with potential add-ons up to £25 million, includes a relegation bonus for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Maxwel Cornet is set for a season-long loan move to the Saints from West Ham.

Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Still Open To Signing Winger

Arsenal are also hoping to bring in a winger before the deadline to bolster their attacking options, following the departures of Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira.

Reports indicate that they have been offered Raheem Sterling from Chelsea, which they are mulling over. The England star is even willing to take a significant pay-cut to reunite with Mikel Arteta, who he worked with at Manchester City.

However, while Chelsea are hoping to sell Sterling, Arsenal are unwilling to pay a fee, as are other clubs that have showed interest in the outcast.

The Gunners have also been weighing up a move for Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, who has been given permission to leave following the addition of Michael Olise.

Coman’s camp have held talks with the North London club, as well as Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, but an offer is yet to made by Arsenal.
