Brighton Vs Liverpool Preview

Brighton

Seagulls fans were left in dismay as Wolves scored a late equaliser at the weekend.

Evan Ferguson and Danny Welbeck looked to have done enough for Brighton, but goals from Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha meant the points were shared.

It was Wolves who Brighton beat last time out in the Carabao Cup, though the South Coast side have lost their past five fourth-round matches in the competition.

Brighton have not made the quarter-finals of the League Cup since 1979, but have a strong recent record against Liverpool at home.

They have not lost to the Reds at the Amex in their last three meetings, including a 2-1 win in the FA Cup in January 2023.

Brighton Vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups

Brighton: Steele; Lamptey, Van Hecke, Igor, Estupinan; Adingra, Baleba, Wieffer, Mitoma; Enciso, Ferguson

Liverpool: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Quansah, Tsimikas; Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Nunez

Brighton Vs Liverpool Prediction

Brighton are always strong at home, and will have no fear about hosting Arne Slot’s Reds.

But Liverpool have been immense on the road this season, and we think they’ll have enough to beat Brighton, though a draw is more than plausible.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Liverpool
