Frank Lampard Speaks Out After His Face Was Found In £38 Million Drug Bust Down Under
Former Chelsea and England star Frank Lampard was left stunned after being told a picture of him had been found in a huge £38 million drug bust in Australia.
Frank Lampard Picture Found In Huge Australian Drug Bust
The bizarre incident occurred Down Under when two large duffel bags were intercepted by the Australian Federal Police. For reasons unknown, the packages of ‘ice meth’ were stamped with a suited-and-booted Lampard.
Alleged trafficker Richard Prothero was arrested at gun point in the car park of Sydney’s Maroubra Surf Club. All in all, the illegal shipment weighed an astonishing 95kg.
Prothero made no application for bail and is expecting a hefty prison sentence. The vast quantity of methamphetamine had been tracked from Los Angeles before it was seized.
Strangely enough, the picture of Lampard was taken in 2017 and can be found on his official Wikipedia page. He is seen giving a thumbs up to fans at Stamford Bridge.
It must be stressed and emphasised that Frank Lampard is in no way, shape or form linked to the crime. Naturally, the 46-year-old was somewhat shellshocked at the news.
“Yeah, you probably know my answer on that one,” a stunned Lampard told reporters outside his home.
“What am I gonna say about that? I’m not aware of it. I don’t even know what to say to you to be honest. I’ve literally no comment on that.”
According to reports, the producer of the illegal drug is most likely a supporter of Premier League side Chelsea. Or at least someone who had come into contact with the shipment.
Subsequently, the vast haul will be incinerated and Prothero will likely spend the next few decades at least behind bars. If he has access to a TV, maybe he’ll try and watch Chelsea highlights!
