FPL Chris Wood

FPL fans have reacted as Chris Wood scores a brace against his former side Leicester, helping Nottingham Forest take the lead at the King Power.

The New Zealand striker has been the talisman for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season, with his two goal against the Foxes becoming his sixth and seventh of this season.

Wood played for Leicester from 2012-2015, scoring 14 goals during his time at the club and was on target to haunt his former employers.

Elliot Anderson was heavily involved in the first goal, playing a searching ball into the box and Wood was there to smash the ball home to give Nottingham Forest a 2-1 lead.

His second goal came after a mix up at the back from the Leicester defence and Wood was there to take advantage with a looping header.

The Nottingham Forest striker has now scored in his last five games for club and country, with this goal making it seven goals in his last seven matches (club and country).

FPL Fans React To Chris Wood Goals Against Leicester

Many Fantasy Premier League players were debating whether or not Wood should be put into their teams given his recent form – with the Forest striker coming up in many FPL GW9 Tips.

His five goals during the first eight game weeks accumulated 46 points, meaning if he had been your captain for this entire time then he would have returned 92.

Scoring two goals against the Foxes means only Cole Palmer, Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah have scored more points on FPL than the Nottingham Forest star.

Each goal is worth five points, meaning if you had captained Wood in GW9 then he would have added 20 points to your team and 60 if you used the triple captain feature.

Wood is sure to obtain the man of the match award on FPL, which will add a further three point to his score or six if he has the captaincy.

Some users, like FPL Alf were not so happy about Chris Wood’s performance against Leicester.

However, some were more excited about the Nottingham Forest star’s goals at the King Power Stadium.
