Enzo Maresca Premier League Away

Enzo Maresca would become the fifth manager to win their first four Premier League away matches, as Chelsea travel to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Interestingly, Maresca will be coming up against the most recent addition to this list, as Liverpool boss Arne Slot won his first four Premier League matches away from home.

The Chelsea boss was one of the favourites to become the first manager to be sacked on the majority of UK Betting Sites but has made a strong start to his tenure in the Premier League.

So far, the Blues have picked up 14 points from their opening seven league matches and sit in fourth place, with their opponents taking up pole position.

When looking at Chelsea’s away matches this season it makes for positive reading, beating West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves so far.

Maresca can become just the fourth manger to win his first four Premier League away matches, but beating Liverpool will not come without its struggle.

The red half of Merseyside have picked up 18 points from their opening seven matches, winning six and losing to Nottingham Forest in GW4.

Enzo Maresca will take huge confidence into the match given his strong away record in the Premier League and will be looking to join the list of managers who have won their first four away fixtures in England’s top-flight.

Luiz Felipe Scolari managed this feat with Chelsea during the 2008/09, as the Brazilian won his first eight away matches in the Premier League.

Bobby Gould won his first four away matches in England’s top division and John Gregory went one further in his debut Premier League season.
