Trent Alexander Arnold England

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored a wonderful free-kick goal in England’s Nations League win over Finland on Sunday, and plenty of fans took to social media in reaction to it.

The Liverpool defender doubled England’s lead in the 74th minute when he guided the ball over the wall and into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Interim manager Lee Carsley’s decision to start Alexander-Arnold at left-back perplexed the majority of fans before the game, but Trent put in a strong showing in an unfamiliar position.

England cruised to a 3-1 win in the end – the other goals coming from Jack Grealish and Declan Rice before Arttu Hoskonen’s late consolation header.

Carsley’s side remain second in Nations League Group B after leaders’ Greece beat the Republic of Ireland 2-0.
