Alex Pereira Next Fight - UFC

It is yet to be confirmed who the Alex Pereira next fight in the UFC will be against. The UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion will be keeping a close eye on the heavyweight division as well as his 205-pound class, as he looks to make history and become the first ever three-division king.

Alex Pereira Next Fight: When Is The UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Back In Action?

Alex Pereira is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the sport of MMA right now. There is a strong case that ‘Poatan’ is the best pound-for-pound fighter on the UFC roster right now, and it’s hard to disagree.

UFC fans last saw Pereira in action at UFC 307 in Salt Lake City, once again successfully defending his UFC Light-Heavyweight Title. Aspinall faced Khalil Rountree, one of the most fearsome punchers in the 205-pound division.

Although Alex Pereira didn’t win as early as he had been doing of late, he once again won via knockout, putting in a clinical and destructive performance to retain his title and cement himself as the best active fighter on the entire UFC roster.

UFC President Dana White has hailed Pereira’s achievements of late, and has relied on him to almost single handedly carry the UFC on occasions in 2024. Now, it seems Pereira deserves at least a few months rest before getting back to training ahead of a potentially huge year in 2025.

In regards to Alex Pereira‘s next fight, there has been no official announcement as of yet. However, several fighters would snap your hand off for the opportunity to try and derail the Pereira hype-train.

Whether it be another UFC Light-Heavyweight Title defence against the likes of Magomed Ankalaev or Aleksandar Rakic, or perhaps even a move to heavyweight remains to be seen. For now, it is important for ‘Poatan’ to rest up for the rest of the year.

No matter who Pereira’s next fight is against, the best UK betting sites will likely have him down as the overriding favourite. Given how dominant he has been of late, you wouldn’t confidently pick anyone in the world to beat him.

Could Alex Pereira’s Next Fight Be Against Tom Aspinall For The UFC Heavyweight Title?

After his latest victory at UFC 307 in early October, Alex Pereira made a successful third defence of his UFC Light-Heavyweight Title. Pereira knocked Khalil Rountree out in Round 4 of their 205-pound contest, making it four consecutive KO wins in the UFC.

In regards to Pereira’s next fight, there have been several rumours that the Brazilian could be tempted by a move to heavyweight now. The 37-year-old could be the first person in UFC history to become world champion in three different weight classes, if he was to move up to heavyweight and win the belt there.

UFC fans believe there is a strong possibility this could happen, with a proposed fight against Tom Aspinall. Pereira took to Instagram after his win at UFC 307, posting a photo in which it is clear that he is calling out Aspinall in a roundabout way.

Once the situation with Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 is sorted and whether or not Aspinall is elevated to the full champion in the aftermath remains to be seen, but rest assured Alex Pereira is there waiting in the wings for his shot.

The best UFC betting sites in the UK would likely favour Aspinall to defeat Pereira just on sheer size, but it wouldn’t be by a long way. This just goes to show how impressive Pereira has been of late, that he has a legitimate chance of becoming the first ever three-weight UFC champion.

Lets hope that Alex Pereira’s next fight or the one after that is for the UFC Heavyweight Title, giving the Brazilian the opportunity to make history and go down in MMA folklore as an all-time great.
