Adam Azim - Boxing - Adam Azim Next Fight

One of the hottest prospects in British boxing is set for his toughest fight to date, as Adam Azim’s next fight goes down on Saturday, October 19th at the famous Copper Box Arena in London. The Adam Azim next fight could be a huge test against fellow Brit Ohara Davies.

Adam Azim Next Fight: When Is The Ohara Davies Bout?

Seven months on from his last fight, Adam Azim is back in action as he looks to progress to 12-0 in the professional ranks. The European Super-Lightweight Champion was last in action back in early February, where he was seen blasting through Enock Poulsen in five rounds to retain his EBU 140-pound belt.

It has been a quiet period since then for Azim, despite several rumours that he could be facing Harlem Eubank. However, that fight seems to have fallen through with ‘The Assassin’ now officially fighting a different British fighter next.

Adam Azim’s next fight was announced in early September, where it was revealed that he would face fellow Brit Ohara Davies. The bout headlines at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday, October 19, headlining a Sky Sports/Boxxer show from the capital.

At just 11-0, this fight on paper is a huge step up for Azim, who hasn’t fought anyone at Davies’ level as of yet. Having secured eight knockouts in his 11 pro boxing fights, Azim will be confident of winning the fight in style, but Davies is more than capable of pulling off the upset.

Compared to Azim’s 11 previous bouts, Davies has fought 28 times as a professional, boasting an impressive record of 25-3 which includes 18 wins via knockout. However, timing is everything in boxing. This could be the perfect time for Azim to secure the biggest name on his resumé yet.

But write off Ohara Davies at your peril, he will be supremely confident of upsetting the apple cart and ripping up the script for Adam Azim’s next fight. That being said, ‘The Assassin’ does go in as the overriding favourite with the best betting apps in the UK to hand Davies his fourth career defeat.

Could Adam Azim’s Next Fight After Ohara Davies Be Against Dalton Smith?

Should Adam Azim get past Ohara Davies on October 19th, he may well face another fellow British fighter in the shape of Dalton Smith. This seems like the obvious fight to make for both Azim and Smith, both of who have their eyes on world honours within the next 12-18 months.

The Azim vs Smith fight has been talked about at length by promoters Ben Shalom and Eddie Hearn over the past six months. Smith’s promoter Eddie Hearn has slammed Team Azim for ‘ducking’ his man, but 2025 could be the year where Adam Azim vs Dalton Smith finally happens next year.

The other alternative would of course to be to let it brew for another few years and fight down the line for multiple world titles. Another option for Adam Azim’s next fight could be further defences of his European Super-Lightweight Title.

At just 22-years-old, Azim still has a lengthy career ahead of him. There is no rush with the Slough man, who could be one of the biggest names in British boxing for the next decade.

If His Excellency Turki Alalshikh continues with his heavy involvement in boxing, Adam Azim could be a name to feature on the Riyadh Season cards going forward. Now that Ben Shalom and Boxxer are working alongside the Saudis, this is a real possibility.

The best boxing betting sites in the UK will likely favour Azim going forward, no matter who he faces below world level. However, these big fights are all meaningless if Azim’s next fight against Ohara Davies goes wrong.

Time will tell who Adam Azim’s next fight is against after his bout on October 19th. Although he is just 11-0, a world title shot might not be too far away for ‘The Assassin’.
