Brennan Johnson Valued Higher Than ENTIRE Iceland Squad Ahead Of Wales’ Nations League Clash In Reykjavík

In-form Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson is valued higher than the entire Iceland squad combined as Craig Bellamy and his Wales side face off against the Nordic nation in Reykjavík on Friday evening.

Wales return to Nations League action with a double header against Iceland and Montenegro in October, and new boss Craig Bellamy will be hoping to maintain his unbeaten start as Dragons boss.

Last month’s international window saw Wales play out a 0-0 stalemate against Turkey in their 2024/25 League B opener, Bellamy’s first game since being appointed as the new manager back in July.

They followed that up with a 2-1 victory over Montenegro in Niksic, with the Dragons leading 2-0 after just three minutes thanks to early efforts from Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson in chaotic conditions.

There was plenty to be pleased about following Bellamy’s first couple of matches at the helm, with fans and pundits praising Wales’ new adventurous, aggressive playing style, a style that Ipswich Town winger Wes Burns has since described as “high risk, high reward”.

This time around though, the Dragons will have to make do without key figures Ethan Ampadu and Aaron Ramsey, who have both been ruled out through injury alongside Daniel James.

They are, however, boosted by the returns of the previously injured Burns, David Brooks, Nathan Broadhead and Rhys Norrington-Davies. Veteran Joe Allen, who retired from international duty in February 2023, has also returned to the squad, handing Bellamy a much-needed option among his midfield ranks.

Another boost for the Dragons is that Brennan Johnson is in excellent form heading into the international window.
