FA Cup First Round Draw Results In Full As AFC Wimbledon Travel To MK Dons

Monday saw the FA Cup First Round proper draw take place live on the BBC, confirming 40 ties set to be played next month.

Held at the University of Bradford Stadium, the first round proper saw 48 clubs from EFL League One and League Two enter the competition.

These sides joined 32 non-league clubs who had battled their way through the qualifying rounds.

The lowest-ranked side still in the competition is Hednesford Town. The Staffordshire outfit plays in the Northern Premier League Division One West, the fourth step of non-league football and the eighth overall tier in England.

Hednesford are in action tonight to book their place in the next round. After a 1-1 draw with National League playoff hopefuls Gateshead, the two face off again in the North East.

The winners of Tuesday’s replay will face the winners of Gainsborough Trinity and Boston United.

Elsewhere, the pick of the FA Cup First Round matchups is MK Dons Vs AFC Wimbledon.

The battle of the Dons has been a monumental grudge due to the history and animosity between both clubs, and is certainly one to keep an eye on.

Other notable fixtures include Southend United Vs Charlton Athletic, and Bristol Rovers Vs Weston-super-Mare.

Teams that win their first-round ties will earn £45,000 in prize money from the FA, while losing clubs take home £15,000.

Fixtures will be played between Friday 1 and Monday 4 November.
